Evidence base for Trigger Points.

Dr Janet Travell, White House physician to JFK and Dr David Simons first published the results of their extensive research in the first edition of Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction, The Trigger point Manual in 1983.

The second edition followed in 1999. These two volumes were written for physicians, and form the basis of subsequent research and development into self help practice.

 This work was popularized and simplified for self help and massage therapists by Clair Davis and his daughter Amber in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook 2001.
